PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately acquire complete spectroscopic characteristics of an object to be measured.SOLUTION: A spectroscopic characteristic acquisition device includes: diffraction means to diffract reflected light of light applied to an object by light irradiation means; and light receiving means to receive a diffraction image of the reflected light diffracted by the diffraction means, on a light-receiving plane on which a plurality of pixels are aligned. A diffraction direction in which the diffraction image diffracts has an inclination of a predetermined angle &thetas;with respect to an alignment direction of the pixels of the light receiving means. A boundary between adjacent pixels of the light receiving means has an inclination of a predetermined angle &thetas;with respect to a direction orthogonal to the alignment direction of the pixels, in the same direction as the inclination of the diffraction direction with respect to the alignment direction of the pixels.
