PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooler which incorporates fins and in which a top plate and a bottom plate are securely brazed.SOLUTION: A cooler 2 disclosed in the specification includes a top plate 3 and a bottom plate 5 which form a housing. Grooves 7, connecting the interior with the exterior of the cooler 2, are provided on a joining surface of one of the top plate 3 and the bottom plate 5. Fins 4 are included in the box shaped bottom plate 5. The top plate 3, the bottom plate 5, and the fins 4 are brazed by using a brazing material that flux is applied with an adhesive. The grooves 7 are also sealed by the brazing material. An organic gas, vaporized from the adhesive in the cooler and generated during heating in a brazing furness, diffuses from the grooves 7 to the exterior. Thus, the structure prevents the concentration of the organic gas from getting high in the cooler and inhibits influences of the organic gas on the flux. The grooves 7 are sealed by the brazing materials after the organic gas escapes to some extent. |
