PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulative material which can materialize a connection structure excellent in the stability of a property and highly reliable in conductivity and insulation.SOLUTION: The insulative material according to the invention is an insulative material used for a first member 2 to be connected which has a plurality of protruding first electrodes 2b on a surface 2a; the insulative material is arranged over the first electrodes 2b and gaps X between the first electrodes 2b so as to cover the first electrodes 2b. The insulative material comprises a thermosetting compound having a thermosetting functional group. When the melt viscosity of the insulative material at 80°C in a case where the insulative material is first heated to 80°C is denoted by &eegr;1, and the melt viscosity of the insulative material at 80°C after having been heated to 80°C and then left at 80°C for 30 minutes is denoted by &eegr;2, the ratio of &eegr;2 to &eegr;1 is between 0.7 and 1.4 inclusive. |
