PURPOSE: An additional service receiving method and an image display device using the same are provided to implement a replacement advertisement service, a scene related information supplying service, a grade based content supply service, and a user characteristic based service. CONSTITUTION: An image display device receives an AV (Audio-Visual) content and extracts the first feature information from the received AV content (S2001,S2002). The device transmits the first feature information to a first server and receives the database related to the first feature information from a first server (S2003,S2004). The device extracts a second feature information from the received AV content and obtains the content information corresponding to the extracted second feature information, additional service information, or an additional service from the database (S2006,S2007).
