PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide with a mirror which can secure the flatness of a substrate and transmit a light signal regardless of the type of a substrate and also propagate a signal with low loss.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide, the method comprising the steps of: (A) providing a release layer on one surface of a substrate having at least one opening part, forming a transparent resin layer composed of a transparent resin on the other surface and filling the opening part with a transparent resin; (B) removing the release layer after filling the opening part with a transparent resin; (C) forming an optical waveguide composed of a core layer and a clad layer on the substrate; and (D) forming a mirror part on the core layer immediately above the opening part. |
