PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for checking non-lighting of an outdoor light, capable of effectively finding without labor a point that is the cause of the non-lighting of the outdoor light.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a device for checking the non-lighting of an outdoor light for finding a point that is the cause of the non-lighting of a circuit 12 comprising a power supply 7, an automatic on/off switch 8, and an outdoor light 9, the device including an operation unit 1 and connection terminals 2a to 2c. In a cable 12a connecting the power supply 7, the automatic on/off switch 8, and the outdoor light 9, the connection terminals 2a to 2c are respectively connected to a point X that is on the primary side of the automatic on/off switch 8, the point X connecting the power supply 7 and the automatic on/off switch 8, a point Y connecting the power supply 7 and the outdoor light 9, and a point Z that is on the secondary side of the automatic on/off switch 8, the point Z connecting the automatic on/off switch 8 and the outdoor light 9. The operation unit 1, with the connection terminals 2a to 2c being connected, can be switched to one of voltage measurement of the automatic on/off switch primary side, voltage measurement of the automatic on/off switch secondary side, and a state in which the power supply 7 and the outdoor light 9 are directly connected bypassing the automatic on/off switch 8. |
