PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower suppressing a friction loss at a contact and slide portion between a seal member of a fan casing and a suction opening end edge of a front shroud of a centrifugal fan while preventing a circulation flow, and to provide an electric vacuum cleaner equipped with the electric blower.SOLUTION: The electric blower includes an electric motor constituted of a rotor and a stator, a housing containing the electric motor, a rotating shaft provided on the rotor, the centrifugal fan installed to the rotating shaft, a diffuser leading the wind discharged from the centrifugal fan into the housing, and the fan casing surrounding the peripheries of the centrifugal fan and the diffuser. In the electric blower, an annular seal support is disposed at a fan casing suction opening part to face a suction opening part of the centrifugal fan. The cross section of the seal support forms an annular hollow part which has a slit-shaped opening at a portion opposingly fitted to the suction opening part of the centrifugal fan to be adjacent to the suction opening end edge and in which the width of the back part of the opening is larger than the width of the inlet part of the opening. |
