PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide switch in which foreign matters are prevented from penetrating or being bitten, and which has a good reliability.SOLUTION: A slide switch has a body, a slider, a terminal and a contact piece. The slider is slidably held on the body and slides when pressed by an insertion of the object. The terminal has a fixed contact arranged along a sliding direction on an opposing surface of the body to the slider. The contact piece is attached to the slider, and has a movable contact sliding with a slide movement of the slider on the fixed contact arrangement surface of the body. A side wall is formed projecting from an edge of the sliding direction of a contact piece mounting surface of the slider. An opposing surface to an edge surface of the side wall is formed on the body in an entire range of the slide movement. A foreign substance removing groove is formed on at least in either an edge of the slide movement direction of the edge surface of the side wall or an edge of the slide movement direction of the opposing surface of the body. |
