PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that can generate more electric power efficiently by making good use of movements of a hand portion in front-rear directions when the vacuum cleaner is used.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a vacuum cleaner body having an electric fan, a suction port body having a suction port for dust-containing air, a hand portion having a grip portion for moving the suction port during cleaning in a prescribed direction along a surface to be cleaned and an operation portion for operating an operation state of the electric fan, and a power generation portion provided in the hand portion. The power generation portion includes a hollow columnar tube, a coil wound around an outer circumference of the columnar tube at least at the substantially center part, and a movable magnet provided movably in the columnar tube, both ends of the columnar tube are arranged along the prescribed direction, and the power generation portion further includes energizing means of generating force energizing the movable magnet toward the substantially center part. |
