PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for extending service life of a forging device in a dogtooth forging technology of finishing a dog rough tooth by a forging method.SOLUTION: An intermediate product 10 is placed on the tip of a divided piece 24 and the tip of a backup ring 26 so as to make the tip of the divided piece 24 and the tip of the backup ring 26 enter an annular groove 13. Next, the intermediate product 10 is pushed down by a punch mechanism 30. Then, the divided piece 24 is pushed toward the left in the figure and a tooth shaping part 44 begins to bite into the dog rough tooth 14. Specifically, the divided piece 24 is pushed out to the center of a holder 22 by a tapered part 41 of a driver 25, and the dog rough tooth 14 is shaped by the tooth shaping part 44 of the divided piece 24. Since a rear surface of the divided piece is simply pushed by the driver, no bending stress is generated in the divided piece. As a result, no crack is formed in the divided piece and the service life of the divided piece is greatly extended. |
