PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a washing machine that has an outer tub 1 containing a washing and dewatering tub 3 and prevents deterioration of washing performance while improving drainage performance.SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: the washing and dewatering tub 3 provided with a pulsator 2; the outer tub 1 containing the washing and dewatering tub 3; and a drain outlet 9 for discharging washing water in the outer tub 1 to the outside. On a bottom face of the outer tub 1, a drain passage 22 having a circumferential and groove-sectional shape around a rotation axis of the washing and dewatering tub 3 is provided. The drain outlet 9 is arranged in the drain passage 22. The drain passage 22 and the drain outlet 9 are connected via a funnel part 10 having an inclined surface, thereby increasing drainage efficiency and decreasing remaining water in the outer tub that is generated during drainage of the washing water. |
