PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid metal leakage detector which early and surely detects leakage of a liquid metal even in a broad detection target area.SOLUTION: Two electrode planes 113a, 113b are formed on a surface of a base 111 made of an insulator. The two electrode planes 113a, 113d are electrically insulated and mechanically separated by an insulating line groove 112 which is one meandering line. Voltage is applied between the electrode planes 113a, 113b. When leaked liquid metal sodium flows into the insulating line groove 112 so as to electrically connect the electrode planes 113a, 113b, a short circuit current flows, so that the leakage of the liquid metal sodium is detected. |
