PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter discharge structure capable of properly discharging foreign matter making an entry into a groove, and to an electric wiring device.SOLUTION: An electric wiring device 1 includes a case 2 which houses an extra-length portion of an electric wire, and a protector (sliding member) 3 slidably supported by the case 2. A slope 76 sloped to a slide-direction outward side toward the side of an opening 20 from a bottom surface 25 of the groove 24 is provided at the slide-direction end of the protector 3 inside the case 2. A base edge of the slope 76 is almost identical in width dimension to the bottom surface 25 of the groove 24. A tip edge of the slope 76 formed in such a shape as to be smaller in width dimension than a base edge is provided while being extended to the outside from the opening 20 of the case 2.
