PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for opening and closing a tail gate board capable of opening and closing the tail gate board of a vehicle safely by light work even in work near a pit.SOLUTION: There is provided an auxiliary method of opening and closing a tail gate board assisting the opening/closing of the tail gate board 54 of a loading space attached to a vehicle. A pressing means 23 for pressing the tail gate board from the rear side of the loading space is disposed near the stop position of the vehicle. When the vehicle stops at the stop position, the tail gate board is pressed by the pressing means 23 to prevent the tail gate board from being opened. Then, after a worker releases the gate stop of the tail gate board, a pressing force to the tail gate board 54 by the pressing means 23 is released.
