PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable with an electric connector that securely has a shield function and is superior in assemblability of a holder and a strain relief, and a method of manufacturing the cable with an electric connector.SOLUTION: A cable 1 with an electric connector includes a metal ring 3 as a fixing member at a connection part between an electric connector 4 and a multi-core cable 2. The metal ring 3 includes a cylinder part 17 that the multi-core cable 2 penetrates and a claw part 18 which engages with a metal shield 6 and forms a part of the metal shield 6. The cylinder part 17 has its inner peripheral surface brought into contact with a folded-back part of a shield layer 11 folded back to an outer periphery of a sheath 10 of the multi-core cable 2, and also crimped to an outer periphery of the folded-back part. A dimension H1 of the crimped cylinder part 17 in a thickness direction of the electric connector 4 is substantially equal to a thickness dimension H0 of the metal shield 6.
