PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbial fuel cell system having high energy recovery efficiency.SOLUTION: The microbial fuel cell system according to the present invention comprises: an inflow step of making a liquid 1 containing an organic substance flow into a fuel cell (microbial fuel cell) 4 in which anaerobic microorganisms functioning as a catalyst are carried on an electrode; a power generation step of generating power while biologically treating the liquid 1 containing the organic substance in the microbial fuel cell 4; and a separation step of solid-liquid separating a liquid treated by the microbial fuel cell 4 into treated water 7 and excess sludge 8. |
