PURPOSE: A sensor with a protective cover for checking the temperature of molten steel is provided to efficiently prevent damage to a sensor body caused by the transmission of external impact to the sensor body with a protective cover when carrying and moving the sensor. CONSTITUTION: A sensor (A) with a protective cover for checking the temperature of molten steel is installed on the inner upper part of a molten steel storing unit for checking the temperature of the molten steel becoming supplied from a melting furnace of a steel manufacturing system to the molten steel storing unit. A ceramic protective cover (2), in which a plurality of through-holes (21) is formed on the upper part of the cover, is formed on the surface of a sensor body (1). A plurality of hangers (3) is penetrated through the through-holes. The sensor body is installed inside the protective cover by the hangers.
