PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of joining a tube sheet and a tube in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, by which a problem of hole formation in the tube by a fluid flowing into and from the shell due to incomplete joining of the tube and the tube sheet can be prevented and corrosion in the tube can be prevented, and to provide a shell-and-tube heat exchanger joined by the above joining method.SOLUTION: The method of joining a tube sheet and a tube in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger includes stages of: forming a tube sheet groove 22 on a side face of a tube sheet 20, the groove spaced apart at a prescribed distance from a tube insertion hole where the tube is to be inserted, and forming a tube groove 12 on an inner surface of the tube insertion hole; inserting the tube into the tube insertion hole of the tube sheet and expanding the tube; and carrying out both of tube-side welding 14 and shell-side welding 24 to weld and join the tube sheet 20 and the tube 10. The shell-side welding is carried out by inserting a welding torch into the tube. |
