PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management device that can efficiently gather storage images in a compound device while preventing increase in the storage capacity of a system including two or more compound devices.SOLUTION: An image management device connects with two or more compound devices and a terminal device via a communication network, gathers storage images in the compound devices, and also generates thumbnail images by scaling down the storage images. The image management device is comprised of: a thumbnail image request receiving unit for receiving a thumbnail image request including user information to identify a connection destination compound device from the terminal device; a user information storage unit for holding two pieces or more of user information by associating each of them with address information indicating the connection destination compound device; a storage image acquisition unit for acquiring a storage image from a compound device on the basis of the user information included in the received thumbnail image request: and a thumbnail image transmission unit for transmitting a thumbnail image corresponding to the storage image obtained based on the thumbnail image request to a transmission source of the thumbnail image request. |
