PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release polyester film for molding with a superior film formation characteristic of a release layer when providing the release layer on at least one face of a film to be used in a substrate such as in-mold transfer foil, easily separable from a hard coat layer after transfer, having a stick-release characteristic not causing a foil fracture phenomenon when carrying out slit machining in a width matching the size of a transfer original object, and having a release characteristic not causing a crack (cracking) phenomenon in a transfer object when separating the transfer object including the hard coat layer or the like.SOLUTION: A release polyester film for molding has a release layer on at least one face of a polyester film, the release layer contains a copolymer and a crosslinking agent composed of a particular a fluoroalkyl (meth) acrylate component, an alkyl (meth) acrylate component, and a (meth) acrylic acid component, and when a whole constituent unit of the copolymer is 100 mol%, the total of constituent units coming from a methacrylate derivative is ≥25 mol% and ≤80 mol%. |
