<p>PURPOSE: A system and a method for management of midterm scheduling in shipbuilding are provided to subdivide load analysis units and enhance a load analysis function for improving accuracy of midterm scheduling and a process conformance rate and reducing man-hours in production management. CONSTITUTION: A system (100) for management of midterm scheduling comprises an analysis unit (100), a decision unit (120), a midterm schedule planning unit (130), an adjustment unit (140), an balancing unit (150), and a control unit (160). The analysis unit analyzes a work load of each team or each group in departments related to shipbuilding. The decision unit determines whether the work load of each team or each group in the departments is an optimal load based on the analysis of word loads. The midterm schedule planning unit decides an initial midterm scheduling as an optimized/final midterm scheduling if the work load of each team or each group in the departments is the optimal load. The adjustment unit adjusts the work load of each team or each group if the work load of each team or each group in the departments is not the optimal load. The balancing unit performs work load balancing upon the work load of each team or each group in the departments based on a result of the said work load adjustment.
