PURPOSE: A group image providing method and a server thereof are provided to create a sense of fellowship among the members of a group in a game by allowing a user to use self-created or self-edited images as a representative image for a group to which the user belongs other than the sample images provided by the game's provider. CONSTITUTION: A group image providing server receives an input from a user device indicating the user selects a group image setting option (S10). The server transmits a foreground selection menu which allows the user to decide to use either 'one out of the sample images set by the server' or 'one out of the images inputted by the user device' to the user device (S20). According to the user's choice on the foreground selection menu, the server transmits one out of different group image creating menus to the user device (S30). According to the user's choice on the group image creating menu, the server creates and stores a group image (S40).
