PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending device capable of safely lowering an upper table and shortening a cycle time in bending.SOLUTION: The bending device, which bends a workpiece by cooperation between a punch and a die, includes: the upper table mounted with the punch and capable of moving up and down; a lower table arranged below the upper table and mounted with the die; a back gage having a butting part for butting the workpiece; a plurality of butting sensors, provided on the butting part, for detecting that the workpiece is butting; a table position determination part 111 for determining whether the upper table reaches a position at a safe distance during lowering of the upper table; a stop determination part 114 which determines whether or not to stop the upper table according to a butting state of the workpiece and a plurality of the butting sensors during lowering of the upper table; and a deceleration determination part 113 which determines whether or not to decrease the lowering speed of the upper table according to the butting state during the time from the upper table starts descending until the table reaches the position at a safe distance. |
