PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural material having very easily adjustable dimension.SOLUTION: The structural material comprises: a material body 3 formed by laminating block materials 1 in a close contact condition and having a flat face 2 of a predetermined width, continued in the laminating direction; and a connection body 4 formed to be cuttable with a cutter and bonded to the flat face 2 to connect each of the block materials 1. By cutting the connection body 4 with the cutter along an interface between the block materials 1, 1, an appropriate number of the block materials 1 are separated from the material body 3, and the dimension in the block material 1 laminating direction can be adjusted. The connection body 4 can be cut with the cutter, that is, has suitable tensile strength, and the interface between the block materials 1, 1 has a predetermined sectional area, and therefore, the connection body 4 does not easily rupture when a vertical load F acts as a tensile directional force T. Furthermore, since the respective block materials 1 are in a condition of close contact with one another, a shearing force acting between the block materials 1 of the connection body 4 can be restricted extremely small. |
