PURPOSE: A vortex preventing device and a cooling tower with the same are provided to supply cooling water to a circulation pump while the generation of a vortex is prevented as the vortex preventing device is joined to a lower water tank. CONSTITUTION: A vortex preventing device (600) comprises a top guide unit (620), a net (620), a bottom guide unit (630), and partitioning plates (640). Upper and lower plates of the top guide unit are spaced from each other at a predetermined interval so that an inflow space unit (613) is formed. The net is connected to the upper and lower pates and arranged along the circumference of the top guide unit. The lower guide unit is communicated with the lower plate and discharges a fluid has flown from the inflow space unit. The partitioning plates are arranged inside the top and bottom guide units and partition internal spaces of the inflow space unit and the lower guide unit. |
