FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: cryostat relates to components of photosensitive devices which detect infrared radiation. The cryostat has a housing with a cooled platform in a working chamber and a unit for cryostatting the cooled platform. The cryostatting unit is floodable and is in form of a liquefied gas cylinder with a sorbent container, having a common wall with the cylinder. The common wall has a hole for feeding sorbent which can be plugged. There is a hole for accessing the sorbent container in the wall of the housing opposite the hole for feeding sorbent. An exhaust tube for pumping gas when evacuating the cryostat and subsequent nipping and pressing thereof is tightly connected to the hole in the wall of the housing on the side of the atmosphere.EFFECT: eliminating restrictions on time at which the cryostat is in open state in the atmosphere when mounting a photodetector module; prolonging the time of maintaining a vacuum, where normal operation of the photodetector with the same portion of liquid nitrogen is provided; high ratio of the time for maintaining the operating vacuum in the cryostat during repeated use thereof without opening to the amount of liquid nitrogen of the same portion; high efficiency of the cryostat.7 cl, 3 dwg
