<p>PURPOSE: A hybrid carbon material and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase the specific surface area of a hybrid carbon material and absorb a nanocarbon material on the surface of expanded graphite, thereby easily removing impurities from the hybrid carbon material using a washing process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a hybrid carbon material comprises: a pre-treatment step of absorbing a polymer electrolyte on the surface of expanded graphite (S10); and a coating step of manufacturing a hybrid carbon material by coating the surface of the pre-treated expanded graphite with a nanocarbon material (S20). The surface of the expanded graphite is coated with an amphoteric polymer electrolyte by mixing the expanded graphite in 0.1-10 wt% of an amphoteric polymer electrolyte solution.
