A remotely-controlled broadcasting receiver, a content control method thereof, and a remotely diagnosing method are provided to control contents of the broadcasting receiver anytime and anywhere by using a communication terminal even when a user is present in the outside, thereby enabling the user to control the broadcasting receiver anytime and anywhere. A network module transceives data with a communication terminal connected through a network. A menu providing unit provides the communication terminal with a predetermined menu, capable of remotely controlling information stored in a PVR(Personal Video Recorder)(103) of a broadcasting receiver, through the network module if information request command data is received through the network module. An information processor processes the information, stored in the PVR, according to a control command if the control command selected from a menu provided by the menu providing unit is received from the communication terminal through the network module. A microprocessor controls each of the above units. |
