The invention relates to a vehicle rear luggage compartment lateral trim device. The device essentially comprises a trim panel (10) intended to cover that part of the bodywork that is lateral to the volume of the luggage compartment, and a rear shelf support (8) intended to be positioned above the panel and fixed to the bodywork. The support (8) and the panel (10) comprise fixing means (18 and 28) able to secure a region of the panel (10) which is otherwise free of attachment and, as a result, unstable from a geometric point of view. This solution in particular stabilizes the panel (10) near a louvered flap (20). The invention relates to a vehicle equipped with said device.
