PURPOSE: A detecting device for insertion of a filter and a clothes drying machine having thereof are provided to detect whether a filter is inserted into a filter guide for proceeding clothes drying in a filter insertion condition, thereby filtering off foreign materials or lint generated while drying clothes. CONSTITUTION: A filter insertion detecting device comprises a filter assembly, a filter guide (30), a filter cover (10), and an electrode sensor (100). The filter assembly filters off foreign materials in air discharged from the inside of a drum. The filter assembly is mounted on the filter guide. The electrode sensor detects whether a filter is inserted into the filter guide by an electronic sensor.
