PURPOSE: A wireless power transmitter and a control method thereof are provided to maximize wireless power charging efficiency by performing impedance matching in response to a case in which the number of wireless power receivers is changed. CONSTITUTION: A wireless power transmitter (100) wirelessly transmits power to wireless power receivers (150-1,150-2,150-n). The wireless power transmitter comprises a power amplifying unit (110), a matching unit (120), and a power transmitting unit (130). The power amplifying unit amplifies output power of an output value which is pre-determined with pre-determined efficiency and outputs it. The power transmitting unit wirelessly transmits the power to one or more wireless power receivers. The matching unit performs impedance matching in order to square a changed direction of the output value of the power amplifying unit with a changed direction of an impedance value at the power transmitting unit.
