PURPOSE: A genuine product certification method using a quick response (QR) code is provided to allow a consumer to verify a genuine product after the product was sold, thereby improving reliability in dealing with secondhand goods. CONSTITUTION: A genuine product certification server matches a unique product number of a product with a unique uniform resource location (URL) and then stores, and generates a QR code containing the URL (S301). A terminal transmits the URL of the QR code and the product number to the genuine product certification server (S303). The genuine product certification server compares the URL with the product number (S305). If the product number is matched with the URL, it is determined the product is genuine. The terminal is connected to the genuine product certification server using the QR code. The genuine product certification server sends a request for the product number to the terminal, and the terminal transmits the product number to the genuine product certification server in response to the request.
