BLAST FURNACE SLAG CEMENT CONTAINING BY-PRODUCTS OF PETROLEUM REFINERY PROCESS

PURPOSE: A blast-furnace slag cement composition is provided to substitute a part of a ground granulated blast-furnace slag with an ash as a by-product from oil refining, and to utilize as a cement substitute material of an excellent characteristic or an admixture. CONSTITUTION: A blast-furnace slag cement composition comprises 30-70 parts by weight of an ordinary portland cement and 30-70 parts by weight of a ground granulated blast-furnace slag. 1-40 parts by weight comparison to 100.0 of the ground granulated blast-furnace slag are substituted with an ash as a by-product from oil refining. The ash as a by-product from oil refining is produced by burning a coke which is a by-product of the refining process with a limestone in 800-900°C. The ash as a by-product from oil refining comprises 30-60 wt% of a CaO, 10-40 wt% of a SO3, and 0.1-5 wt% of a MgO. Less than 20 parts by weight (0 parts by weight is excluded) comparison to 100.0 of the ground granulated blast-furnace slag is a blast furnace air-cooled slag. The blast furnace air-cooled slag is produced by crushing a spall which is less than 5 mm and a blaine fineness in a specific surface area is 3,000-10,000 cm^2 / g.
