An alignment film composition for liquid crystal display devices is provided to ensure good discharging property and spreading property, thereby forming even alignment films when the alignment films are formed by an ink jet printer. An alignment film composition for liquid crystal display devices includes a solid, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, butyl cellosolve, and gamma-butyrolactone, wherein a concentration of the gamma-butyrolactone is 60-67wt%, a concentration of the N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is 12-17wt%, and a concentration of the butyl cellosolve is 15-20wt%. The solid is at least one polymer selected from the group comprising polyamic acids and polyimides. |
