REACTIVE VINYL AROMATIC HYDROCARBON-CONJUGATED DIENE BLOCK COPOLYMER COMPOSITION, AND ASPHALT COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A reactive vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer composition is provided to significantly cut manufacturing time of an asphalt composition because of excellent compatibility with asphalt, to greatly improve the low-temperature elongation and storage stability of an asphalt composition and to exhibit excellent persistency of low-temperature elongation when exposed at high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: An aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer composition is a reactive vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-vinyl-conjugated diene block copolymer with an epoxy group inside of the conjugated diene block. The epoxy group is within the range of 1-4.5wt% based on the total weight of polymer. The reactive vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-vinyl-conjugated diene block copolymer is indicated as the following chemical formula 1. An asphalt modifier includes the reactive vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer composition. An asphalt composition includes the asphalt modifier and asphalt.
