<p>The invention relates to an effluent screening facility made up of a stack of screening units (100a, b, c). Each unit includes a filtering drum (120a, b, c) consisting of a rotating horizontal cylinder with the peripheral surface thereof consisting of a screen (121a, b, c) with defined molecular weight cut-offs. Said cylinder engages with another cylinder (140a, b, c) receiving the effluent to be screened and having a spillway (141a, b, c) applied against the screen (121a, b, c) to form a contact area (142a, b, c) between the effluent bath of the trough and the outer surface of the screen. A scraper (150a, b, c) applied against the screen (121) collects the matter (MS) built up on the screen. A collector (160a, b, c) under the drum (120a, b, c) receives the filtered effluent that passed through the screen. The screening units (100a, b, c) are arranged with decreasing molecular weight cut-offs from the unit in the top position to the unit in the bottom position. The effluents pass in series from one unit to another by gravity.</p> |
