PURPOSE: A disk exposure type disk drive device is provided to prevent the inflow of foreign substances by covering a disk part exposed from a body casing through a slot. CONSTITUTION: A body casing (110) includes a first slot loading a disk into a first side. A protective cover (150) covers a disk part exposed from the body casing through the first slot. The protective cover includes a first cover placed on the first side of the body casing. A disk loading unit is installed in the body casing. The disk loading unit includes a loading roller operated to load the disk. A sensor (131) is installed on the first cover to sense the disk.
