PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of generating plural images excellent in image quality from one image independently of imaging conditions.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an input unit which is overlaid on the display screen of a display unit and receives an input of a signal according to a contact position from outside; an effective region determination unit which, on the basis of characteristic information of an optical system according to imaging conditions, determines an effective region to which a cut-out region can be set by the input of a signal from the input unit; and a display control unit which, in accordance with the determination result obtained by the effective region determination unit, controls the display unit to display information representing the boundary of the effective region. |
