PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a silica glass crucible with which high degree of coincidence of three-dimensional shapes with respect to designed data is obtained.SOLUTION: If the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes between simulation data and measurement data obtained on the basis of initial physical parameters is below a predetermined standard, improved physical parameters, with which the degree of coincidence equals or exceeds the predetermined standard, are established. Furthermore, if the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes between simulation data and measurement data obtained on the basis of initial manufacturing conditions is below a predetermined standard, improved manufacturing conditions, whereby simulation data, with which the degree of coincidence with the design data equals or exceeds the predetermined standard are obtained, are established. As a result, the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes between measurement data and design data for the silica glass crucible can be improved to meet or exceed the predetermined standard. In other words, silica glass crucible for which the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes with respect to design data is high, can be manufactured by rotational molding method. |
