PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine airfoil having a moisture bypassing slot for enhancing efficiency of a turbine stage.SOLUTION: There is provided a turbine resting airfoil with the slot. In one embodiment, the turbine resting nozzle airfoil includes a recessed positive pressure wall having the slot of penetrating through the wall, a projecting negative pressure wall contacting with the recessed positive pressure wall in respective end part joining parts, and a pocket fluidly connected with the slot and positioned between the projecting negative pressure wall and the recessed positive pressure wall. At least one of the projecting negative pressure wall or the recessed positive pressure wall includes a thin segment in the vicinity of one of the respective end part joining parts, and the thin segment is constituted to extend the pocket toward the rear edge of the turbine resting nozzle airfoil. |
