PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a waterproof and highly reliable integrated molded glass article by glass insert molding.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an integrated molded glass article 1a in which a plate glass 20 is fixed inside an integrally resin-molded frame 10a, wherein: the frame is provided with an edge 13 that has an upper surface 11 connected to an upper surface 21 of the plate glass, the edge supporting a rim of a lower surface 22 of the plate glass; a resin layer 30 that is compatible with the resin constituting the frame at the lower surface rim of the plate glass, and functions as a cushioning material for reducing stress applied to the plate glass, is formed into the shape of a frame encircling the lower surface rim of the plate glass; the plate glass is arranged in a mold (41, 42); and molten resin 110 is injected into the closed mold to mold the frame, thereby securely bonding together the lower surface rim of the plate glass and the upper surface 14 of the edge part. |
