PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain steering stability and wear resistance, while improving wet braking performance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 has a tread part 2 including a center land part 5 and a shoulder land part 6. The center land part 5 includes: a center transverse groove 7 which inclines at an angle &thetas;1 of 35-65 degrees with respect to a tire peripheral direction from a shoulder main groove 4 toward a tire equator C, and terminates without reaching a center main groove 3; a center transverse sipe 8 that inclines in the same inclination direction of the center transverse groove 7 and at an angle &thetas;2 of 35-65 degrees with respect to the tire peripheral direction, and extends from a tire-axial inner end 7i of the center transverse groove 7 to the center main groove 3; and a center vertical sipe 9 that is spaced from a side edge 5e on the tire equator C side of the center land part 5 at a distance of 20-40% of a land part width L1, and extends in the tire peripheral direction to allow the center transverse grooves 7 to communicate with each other. |
