Disclosed is an electrostatic spray device (10) provided with a conductor (11), a nozzle (14) arranged opposite of the conductor (11), and a guard ring (13) arranged between the conductor (11) and the nozzle (14). A DC power source (14a), which positively or negatively charges a spray liquid, is connected to the nozzle (14), and a DC power source (13a), which applies a DC current component having the same polarity as the that of the spraying liquid, and an AC power source (13b), which applies an AC component which varies the potential of the aforementioned DC component, are connected to the guard ring (13).
