PURPOSE: An exhaust gas recirculation system is provided to form two separate exhaust gas flow spaces which comprise one space that is mounted with a cooling unit in a cooling device and the other that is not mounted with a cooling unit, thereby supplying a cylinder with an exhaust gas which is not cooled down. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation system includes a cooling device (600). The cooling device comprises a casing (610); a cooling unit (650) which is arranged on a partial area in the internal space of the casing; and a flow control unit (630) which is installed on one side of the casing, and controls the flow of exhaust gas. Both side ends of the casing are connected to an exhaust manifold and an intake manifold respectively to function as an inlet unit and an outlet unit of exhaust gas. The internal space of the casing is divided into a first space (621) in which exhaust gas cooling is implemented and a second space (622) in which exhaust gas cooling is not implemented by a separation plate (620). The cooling unit is placed in the first space, and cools the exhaust gas which flows in the first space. The flow control unit is installed on the separation plate corresponding to the inlet unit, and selectively flows the exhaust gas into the first space or into the second space according to the temperature of the flowed-in exhaust gas.
