PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push and lock unit and an input device used mainly for operating various automotive electronic apparatuses which implement a user-friendly and reliable operation.SOLUTION: Cam portions 13A on an outer circumference of a rotor 13 mounted on an underside of an operating body 12 come into sequential sprung contact with serration portions 11C on lower surfaces of wall portions 11B on an inner circumference of a cover 11 and undulation portions 15A in a bottom center portion of a case 15 in response to vertical motion of the operating body 12 to turn the rotor 13. When the operating body 12 is pressed, the operating body 12 is locked with an upper surface flush with a panel 23 to complicate finger contact with and wrong operation of the operating body 12, and when the operating body 12 is pressed again, the operating body 12 is unlocked and returns to the state of projection from the panel 23 to allow a rotary operated electronic component 22 to be easily operated with the operating body 12. This can implement a user-friendly and reliable operation. |
