PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device equipped with a function for specifying an instruction position to a displayed image, and capable of corresponding to an image of unknown resolution; and display controlling method.SOLUTION: A projector 11 displays an image supplied from a PC 13 on a screen SC by a projection unit 3; detects an instruction position in the screen SC by a position detecting unit 150; calculates first coordinates which are the coordinates of the instruction position in a display possible area of the screen SC by a coordinate calculating portion 159; converts the calculated first coordinates into second coordinates which are coordinates in a supplied image by a coordinate converting portion 160, on the basis of image position information indicating the position of the supplied image in the screen SC; outputs the second coordinates obtained by the conversion from an output portion 101; and corrects the image position information by processing for displaying the image based on a correction image, by a control portion 103. |
