PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that makes it easy to properly determine an effective display area, and a method of adjusting the effective display area in the display device.SOLUTION: A display device includes control means, a display, a touch sensor associated with the display, and an outer frame that is fitted to the display and causes at least part of the display to be exposed through the opening thereof. The control means determines an effective display area in the display, in association with the opening, on the basis of the positional relationship between the outer frame and the display detected with the touch sensor. |
