PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a low friction coefficient in a terminal fitting part 5 and to improve solderability of a soldering part 6 in a fitting type connector terminal having the terminal fitting part 5 and the soldering part 6.SOLUTION: A terminal material is formed by applying punching to a copper alloy sheet or strip, press working is applied to the terminal fitting part 5 thereof to increase surface roughness of the terminal fitting part 5, and Ni plating, Cu plating and Sn plating are plated subsequently on the entire copper alloy sheet or strip. Then, reflow treatment is applied, a Cu-Sn alloy layer 12 is formed from a Cu plating layer and an Sn plating layer, and the Sn plating layer 13 is smoothed. Thus, the hard Cu-Sn alloy layer 12 is partially exposed to lower the friction coefficient in the terminal fitting part 5. In the soldering part, the Cu-Sn alloy layer 12 is not exposed, the Sn layer 13 covers the entire surface and the solderability is improved. |
