PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical appliances excellent in bending properties while holding the adhesive properties of a coil-shaped wire and the layer arranged to the inside to sufficiently ensure a lumenal area, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A catheter 100 is configured to include an inner layer 11 having a main lumen 20 therein, a coil layer 30 formed by winding a wire 31, of which the cross-sectional shape in the width direction is non-circular in the longitudinal direction, an outer layer 12 and a sub-lumen 80 through which operation wires 70 are inserted. The outer surface of the coil layer 30 is flat and, in the cross-sectional shape of the wire 31 in the longitudinal cross section of the coil layer 30, the outer side 32 of the wire 31 is linear and the inner side 33 has an arched shape to be obliquely inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction. |
