PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen sampling device for molten metal that eliminates complexity of assembling, that is capable of sampling a specimen in a good state at a fixed position in a molten metal bath, and that can analyze the specimen quickly.SOLUTION: A specimen sampling device for molten metal comprises: a mold having an opening through which molten metal is introduced and a space to be filled with molten metal; a lid member that tightly closes the opening on the mold; a quartz tube with a U-figure shape that is for introducing molten metal to the mold, one end part of which is longer than the other end part; and a paper tube that holds the mold therein one end of which is closed with a paper plate. The specimen sampling device is so designed that when molten metal is introduced into the mold with the pressure in the paper tube lowered, the air substituted with the molten metal in the mold is released into the atmosphere through the lid member and paper tube. The lid member is formed of fire-resistant inorganic porous body with a ventilation function, and on a part thereof is provided a through hole in which the mold-side end of the quartz tube is disposed in communication with the space of the mold. |
